Nina Alarcón

Nina Alarcón, born in Bogotá and a Houston resident for over 25 years, is a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in Herbal Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine. Her passion has led her to found and lead Fit and Healthy, an innovative spa focused on non-surgical treatments that promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of its clients.

Thanks to her forward-thinking approach to aesthetics, this holistic health and beauty center has become one of the most cutting-edge in the Greater Houston area, with a dedicated team committed to educating and transforming lives. Nina has a deep passion for nutrition and actively collaborates on educational programs with local schools.

In addition to being the creative mind behind Naturals, a homeopathic line for body and skincare, she is also the founder and CEO of Houston School of Esthetics and Massage, where she serves as both an executive leader and instructor.

Celia Sampson

Celia Johnson Sampson was born and raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana and is the mother of 2 daughters.

Celia is a Alumni of Bogalusa High School. Upon graduation from BHS, Celia went on to the University New Orleans where she studied Biology & Business.

She then transitioned to Aveda Institute of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she completely cosmetology school. She became a licensed cosmetologist and instructor in the state of Louisiana. During her career in cosmetology she became an instructional coach at Aveda Arts and Sciences in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and promoted to Director of Operations at Aveda Arts and Sciences Institute of Corpus Christi. Celia founded CeeStrength: The Beauty Professional promoting beauty education, business, and service.

Celia serves as the School Director of Education at Houston School of Esthetics and Massage

Natora Foreman

Mrs. Natora Foreman will be the phlebotomy instructor.

She has been in the medical field for about 10 years and has served as a Preceptor for approximately 5 years.

Her professional experience spans multiple specialties, including pediatrics, orthopedics, wound care, pain management, urology, hematology, oncology, dermatology, allergy, and phlebotomy. She holds a degree in Health Science and is a certified BLS Instructor, certified Preceptor, and CCMA II.

As an instructor, her goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need while ensuring they finish the program with full confidence in their abilities.

Shena Moore

Shena Moore Cotton studied at Prairie View A&M University and completed her medical training at Sanford Brown. With more than 15 years of experience in the medical field, she has dedicated her career to providing compassionate and quality care to others.

Her professional journey reflects both commitment and passion for healthcare. Over the years, she has worked across different areas of the medical profession, gaining valuable expertise and developing a deep understanding of patient needs. Shena’s dedication to caring for people is not just part of her career it is a core value that drives her work every day.

Beyond her professional life, Shena is a proud mother of three children, balancing her role as a healthcare professional with the responsibilities and joys of family life. She is also currently pursuing her dream of advancing her education in sonography, demonstrating her continuous desire to grow, learn, and inspire others through her example.

Miriam Ordoñez

Miriam Ordoñez is a Medical Doctor, originally trained and graduated in Venezuela, with a strong background in occupational health. She also holds a Massage Therapy License in the state of Texas, earned through Houston School of Massage.

Her professional career reflects extensive experience in both occupational health and complementary therapies, where she has combined medical knowledge with holistic approaches to patient care. Miriam is also a Reiki Master, adding a unique perspective to her practice that integrates science, wellness, and energy balance.

Her training and hands-on expertise in massage therapy cover a wide variety of modalities, including:

Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Chair Massage, Prenatal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Geriatric Massage, Aromatherapy and essential oil applications, Body wraps and treatments (such as salt baths, exfoliation, and aromatic masks), Lymphatic Drainage, Post-Surgical Massage, Pain Therapy Massage, Body Contouring.

In addition to her clinical and therapeutic expertise, Miriam also serves as a Spanish language instructor at the school, supporting students who prefer to learn in their native language and ensuring accessibility for a diverse community of future professionals.
